West Oakland Green Initiative

Did you know that in West Oakland kids are seven times more likely to
suffer from respiratory illnesses than any other kid in California? We
have some of the worst air quality and we need your help to continue to
make a difference.
WOGI is looking for a grants writer. Last year we planted 517 trees. This
year (2012) we planted almost 200 more. And we have planted almost 10,000
trees since we began.
We want to continue cleaning our air, beautify our neighborhoods and
improve the daily lives of our neighbors.

The information above can be found on the official website of West Oakland Green Initiative. For more details about the organization and to find out how you can volunteer, please visit their website: http://treesforwestoakland.org/
