Ashoka's Youth Venture

Youth Venture San Francisco Bay Area transforms young dreamers into changemakers. We inspire and invest in teams of young people to start and lead their own social ventures, and we are part of a powerful global network of young changemakers. Since Youth Venture started in 1996, we’ve enabled over 3,000 youth-led teams to launch in over 20 countries. Our ventures range from tutoring services to climate action clubs, from bike stores to dance academies, from video festivals to youth diabetes support groups.

Ashoka, the world’s leading organization of social entrepreneurs, developed the concept of Youth Venture from understanding a key insight to Ashoka Fellows in the field of youth development: one of the most effective ways to improve the lives of youth is to empower them to realize their own ability to make positive social change.

Youth Venture has just launched in the San Francisco Bay Area. Following the proven Youth Venture model, we provide support and seed funding to youth aged 12 to 20 who want to make the world a better place by creating their own social ventures.
