18 Reasons

18 Reasons is a non-profit based in SF’s Mission District. It is the only
organization in the Bay Area running Cooking Matters, a Share Our Strength
nationwide program. Through Cooking Matters 18 Reasons brings free 6 week
nutrition and cooking classes to kids, teens, adults, and families in the
Bay Area community. Each class series is run by a team composed of 1
Cooking Matters coordinator or 18 Reasons staff member with 3 volunteers.
All class participants receive a bag with fruits and/or veggies after
every class. 18 Reasons is interested in partnering with Mission Dignity
to do a Cooking Matters class series with youth involved in your program
in order for those interested to become volunteers for 18 Reasons and/or
to eventually become paid community health workers.

The information above can be found on the official website of 18 Reasons. For more details about the organization and to find out how you can volunteer, please visit their website: https://www.18reasons.org/cooking-matters/volunteer
