The Volunteer Center of Sonoma County

The Volunteer Center of Sonoma County

For forty years, the Volunteer Center has been the heart of our community; matching prospective volunteers with local nonprofits to help them help others. We inspire thousands of people from all walks of life to share their skills and talents with worthwhile causes and organizations that help our community thrive.

We provide many services for…

Volunteers: If you are looking to volunteer, you can read about volunteer opportunities in Sonoma County, including our own programs such as Secret Santa, RSVP, Literacy Connection and Wheels.

Nonprofits: If you are looking to start a nonprofit, or improve your organization, we provide workshops and many other resources.

Businesses: See how your business can join our movement by becoming a corporate partner, being a sponsor or joining a volunteer opportunity.

Finding needs that are not being addressed, we also operate a multitude of programs that touch thousands of people every day. Our impact can be seen across the entire community as we provide critical support and direct services to students, seniors, businesses and other nonprofit organizations.

Forty years of inspiring volunteerism and addressing critical community needs has made a significant impact in the culture of our region. Sonoma County was ranked first statewide in volunteerism, according to a Corporation for National and Community Service report. 38.7% of local residents volunteer on a regular basis, over 10% more than other California communities. The Volunteer Center of Sonoma County takes pride in how we’ve helped our community become a more caring and compassionate place to live and work.

The Volunteer Center of Sonoma County is a 501(c)(3) organization.
