The UCSF Aids Health Project (AHP)

The UCSF Aids Health Project

The AIDS Health Project, founded in the early days of the epidemic, has championed HIV emotional support and psychological support services since 1984.

  • If you are a San Francisco resident, AHP is one of the key sources of HIV-related emotional and psychological help.
  • For HIV providers throughout the world, AHP offers continuing education to help front-line workers, researchers, and policy makers appreciate the emotional and psychological aspects of HIV-related care and prevention, as well as understand the importance of client-centered counseling.

AHP is a program of the University of California San Francisco’s Department of Psychiatry and San Francisco General Hospital, both ranked among the best HIV programs in the United States.

The information above can be found on the official website of The UCSF Aids Health Project (AHP). For more details about the organization and to find out how you can volunteer, please visit their website: http://www.ucsf-ahp.org
