A Home Away From Homelessness

A Home Away From Homelessness

Home Away was founded in 1994 in partnership with the National Park Service (http://www.nps.gov) which provides us the unique opportunity to offer educational, recreational, and social opportunity for homeless and formerly homeless children and youth in San Francisco and Marin. Over the years, in addition to The Beach House, we have acquired three additional homes, The Bothin House in Marin, and The School House as well as our Administrative Offices at Upper Fort Mason in San Francisco.

At Home Away we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to experience safe and supportive spaces that respect and foster her or his strengths, creativity, and abilities. By joining with homeless and formerly homeless families we help build confidence by providing educational, social, and recreational opportunities.

The information above can be found on the official website of A Home Away From Homelessness. For more details about the organization and to find out how you can volunteer, please visit their website: http://www.homeaway.org/
